Founded in Portland Maine, I.C. Solutions LLC is on a mission to empower a healthier world.  As new England’s only comprehensive provider of Active-Antimicrobial and Performance Enhancing Surface Coatings, UV Air and Surface Sterilization Systems, our goal is simple.

  • Empower virtually and space or textile to actively help protect people from infectious diseases such as H1N1, Common Flu and Common Cold (gram negative and positive), Avian Flu, MRSA, Staph, E. Coli, Salmonella, C. Difficile bacterium and more, without increasing the use of continually applied chemicals and disinfectants.
  • Educate everyone possible about how their own actions and use of resources can dramatically effect infection rates. We want people to be aware of how they interact with a space and its surfaces.  Learn to identify risk areas and address them. Learn how routine behaviors and small habits can make a big difference. We can all help out by simply being more aware.
  • Create I.C.S. Certified HealthySpaces that destroy pathogens between cleaning cycles, reducing the spread of contagions throughout staff, patients, residents, athletes, students, customers and guests.   ICS also provides the means to market these benefits to all.
  • Empower ventilation, heating and cooling systems to continually destroy airborne contagions as well as destroy particulate-borne microbes such as MRSA, H1N1, the Flu and other contagions.
  • Reduce cleaning and maintenance costs in a variety of applications and provide long lasting anti-soiling technologies which repel dust, soil, grease and oils. Provide long lasting stain protection, including most acids. Difficult Soiling and Staining, from fingerprints to pollution, often wipe free with water-only from many non porous surfaces, reducing labor time, chemical use and indoor VOCs.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: ICS provides ongoing, confidential quantification reporting of microbial surface content levels at all installation areas, demonstrating the ongoing performance of installed systems for building owners or facility maintenance staf,f as part of ICS Certification.

  • Maintenance Cleaning often fails to stop, or even encourages the development of communal contagions. Several MDRO strains are showing increasing resistance to disinfectants. Reliance on single disinfectant methods encourages resistance.
  • Active Antimicrobial coatings destroy microbes continually and mechanically, and have no potential of ’developed resistance’.
  • Many Flu strains have epidermal survival rates similar to AIDS, and are more often spread by air or surface contact. Hand Sanitizer actually had a limited effect at limiting H1N1 incidents in 2009.
  • Bleach and other Disinfectants can require up to 8 Minutes to be effective, and can cease to be effective on a surface within 3 minutes. Active Antimicrobial Coatings will continue to destroy any known microbe for three months, approximately 43,000 times longer.
  • ICS UV Technologies are regulated to destroy C. Difficile Spores which have shown resistance to prolonged high Chlorine concentration disinfectants.
